Rights
In Belgium an au pair has amongst others the following rights:
- a private bedroom and free access to the host family’s house
- monthly pocket money of at least 450 euro
- maximum 20 hours per week and 4 hours per day childcare and light housekeeping duties
- language courses (Dutch or French) in a recognised school
- at least 1 day off per week, 1 complete weekend per month and 1 week per 6 months stay
